What We Collect

Game Name Generators is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not require accounts, logins, or personal information to use the site.

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data — page views, session duration, browser type, and approximate geographic region. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

Name Generation & Caching

When you generate names, your filter selections (gender, subrace, tone) are sent to our Cloudflare Worker to check our cache and, on a cache miss, call the Gemini AI API. We cache AI-generated name sets to reduce API calls. We do not link generated names to individual users or sessions.

Cookies

We store one item in localStorage: your theme preference (dark or light). This stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. Google Analytics may set cookies for analytics tracking.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Gemini API — AI name enrichment. Your filter selections are sent to Gemini to generate names. No personal information is included in these requests.

Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and Worker infrastructure. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Affiliate Links

Some pages contain affiliate links (Amazon, Steam, etc.). If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are clearly labeled on the site.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you'd like to opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
