When you click Generate, our static engine fires instantly and shows you 10 names in under 50ms. At the same time, we call Google Gemini 2.0 Flash in the background. Within 1–2 seconds, the AI-generated names replace the static ones — enriched with meanings and pronunciations. If the AI is unavailable, the static names stay and work perfectly.

That's the AI enrichment arriving. The first set of names comes from our static engine (instant). The second, richer set comes from AI and replaces them with a smooth animation. You'll notice meanings and pronunciations appear when the AI version loads.

Our AI layer uses Google Gemini via an API. Occasionally the API may be slow or unavailable due to rate limits or service issues. When this happens, the static engine results stay on screen — so you always have names to work with, no matter what.

Pronunciation guides appear automatically when AI enrichment loads. They show up below the name meaning in each name card. If you only see static names, wait a second for AI enrichment to complete — or try generating again.
